ViewPaid ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, the legal basis for processing, and your rights. This policy applies to all users of viewpaid.com.

1. Data Controller

2. Data We Collect

• Creators: Email address, display name, country, connected YouTube channel ID and TikTok username, follower/subscriber count, Stripe Connect account ID, video URLs, view counts, like counts, comment counts, payout history, and AI verification results.
• Brands: Contact email, brand name, website URL, campaign details, payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store card data).
• All users: IP address (used for rate limiting and fraud detection), session tokens, and browser/device type.
• Usage data: Actions taken on the platform, for debugging, security, and service improvement.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and UK, we process your data under the following legal bases:

• Contract performance — processing necessary to provide the ViewPaid service, including processing payouts and verifying content.
• Legitimate interests — fraud detection, security monitoring, and platform improvement, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
• Legal obligation — where we are required to process data to comply with applicable law (e.g. tax reporting).
• Consent — where you have explicitly consented, such as when connecting your social accounts.

4. How We Use Your Data

• To operate the platform — match creators with campaigns, process payouts, and verify content.
• To send transactional emails — campaign confirmations, approval/rejection notices, and payout notifications.
• To detect and prevent fraud — we analyse engagement patterns, video metadata, and submission behaviour.
• To comply with legal and tax obligations.
• To improve the platform — analyse usage patterns to fix bugs and improve features.

5. Data Processors (Third-Party Services)

We share data with the following trusted processors only to the extent necessary to operate the platform:

• Stripe — payment processing and creator payouts. Data subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy. Stripe performs its own KYC on connected accounts.
• Supabase — database and authentication hosting. Data stored in the EU region.
• Resend — transactional email delivery. Your email address is shared to send platform notifications.
• OpenAI — AI content verification. Video titles, thumbnails, and transcripts are sent for analysis. We do not send directly identifiable personal information (e.g. email addresses) to OpenAI.
• YouTube (Google) — view counts and video metadata are fetched via the YouTube Data API for submitted videos.
• TikTok — video metrics fetched via TikTok's API for submitted TikTok videos. OAuth tokens stored securely to enable metric fetching.
• Google — optional Google login. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — platform hosting and infrastructure. Request logs may be retained for security purposes.

6. Data Retention

• Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
• Video submission records and payout history are retained for 7 years for financial and legal compliance purposes.
• IP address logs used for rate limiting are retained for up to 90 days.
• You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time (see Your Rights below). Note that payout and tax records may be retained beyond account deletion where required by law.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
• Erasure — request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Restriction — request that we limit how we process your data.
• Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. 9. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — specifically, a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. No cookie consent banner is required for essential cookies, but you may disable cookies in your browser settings (note: this will log you out of the platform).

10. Children's Privacy

ViewPaid is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

11. International Transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country of residence (for example, on servers operated by Supabase, Stripe, or Vercel). Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
